Yoko Ono Quotes
"Every drop in the ocean counts."
"A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality."
"What the Beatles did was something incredible, it was more than what a band could do. We have to give them respect."
"I saw that nothing was permanent. You don't want to possess anything that is dear to you because you might lose it"
"I go to the park on Sundays, and I see men pushing babies. And it's beautiful. They don't know that John was the first one to do that. The very first one. No man would be caught doing that before John."
"If John was still alive we would have retired to Cornwall. He said we would be sitting in rocking chairs together, waiting for a postcard to come from Sean."
"Paul, musically, is extremely knowledgeable as well. He's just a quick to write songs. He's just different, that's all."
"No one person could have broken up a band, especially one the size of the Beatles."
"Society tells you that when you're old you have to retire. You have to defy that."
"Art is my life and my life is art."
"At least I had that, one guy understood me."

Michael Stipe Quotes
When we first started, we were a band from Athens and that was so off the map.
And I don't expect anyone can bring about a revolution in the way that Bob Dylan did, and didn't, in the 1960's.
I wouldn't survive ten minutes on American Idol.
I think there were early critics who wanted us to change the world because the Sex Pistols failed.
Radiohead are so good they scare me.
New York can do that to you. You come here to change the world but you end up changing yourself.
I grew up in an era where the Banana Splits, the Archies and the Monkees were the music that I listened to. The Beatles were the music that was playing in the background.
We made mistakes, but they were ours, and that kind of pride of ownership, whether it`s the really good stuff or the bad and embarrassing stuff, is a really good feeling.
Lately I`ve been listening to Q-tip almost non-stop. And Bjork, and Thom Yorke from Radiohead, Natalie Merchant, Grant-Lee Phillips and Courtney Love and Bono. A lot of those people are people that I know and have friendships with. And when they do something great it really challenges me to kind of one-up them.
If I'm tired of me, I'm sure the public is as well.

Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz: "I feel like we are honest. I fell like we are brave men."
Adam "MCA" Yauch: "A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul."
Michael Diamond: "Until we one day, hopefully, have a government that actually serves the people and listens to the people's interests as opposed to business's interest, yeah, it's going to require constant vigilance on the part of the people."
Adam Horovitz: "When you think about it, hardcore and hip-hop aren't really that different. The attitude is the same, it's a New York attitude."
Adam Yauch: "I think every person has the ability to affect change...through our every thought our every word, the way that we interact with other people. We are constantly affecting the world."
Michael Diamond: "Yauch was a gifted MC. It was his flow on things, rather than specific lyrics, that first blew Adam and I away."
Adam Horovitz: "It would be nice to think of ourselves as innovators. I think we're creative, but in terms of being masterminds, no. We're just making some music that we like."

Billy Gibbons: "Until you learn to play what you want to hear, you're barking up the wrong tree."
